Better Know A President!

8 1/2 min video clip

Better Know A President!
Curious to learn more about our political system and the leaders of our country, 15 year old Corrina Ulrich proposed this project for TAP: Better Know A President! Over the course of the 2006-07 school year, 25 students and parents of The Art Place volunteered to create an animated portrait of each President of the United States. Each drawing took at least two hours and some required six hours to make! Our hope is to inspire you to discover more about the Presidents of our country and do your own research to understand how truly fascinating they are!

A cross generational project culminating in a video compilation of elder community members. Seniors provided photo and voice byte about living in/near Suttons Bay, Michigan. Students(young and young at heart) provided the additive animated portraits. To keep the collection in the youTube 10min max. length, a few of the portraits had to be shortened or tucked away, but you can see them all on the dvd available at www.theartplace.org
Thanks for watching, and ... listen to your elders, they have much to offer.
