Hi Folks,

Enjoy ... :

Valentine Workshop
We are offering an interesting and free valentine workshop at TAP on Wednesday Feb 6, from 3:30-5:30. Children are asked to bring papers of any and every kind: maps, cards, letters, lists, magazines, bags and other recyclable paper. Martha Eldredge will demonstrate ideas to play with to your heart's desire! We'll cut otherwise throw-away paper into lots of hearts and then layer and build heart creatures, pictures, bookmarks or mobiles. We'll ask each child to donate one of their creations for a Tendercare resident forValentine's Day. Join Martha and Chris for some FREE fun and bring your friends!

TAP Member Exhibit
TAP members are welcome to continue to exhibit and offer Art for sale at Samuel's beginning Feb 1. The November/December show was successful with 8 sales! To keep things simpler, we are dropping 'themes' and will hang your best work as it come in and rotate the exhibit as work sells and space allows. Please contact Chris for more information.

The Leelanau Theme Song
is now on line at youTube and was featured on Leelanau.com on 1-29-08. Check it out, leave a comment for the kids! Click the title for the direct link to youTube.

If any other students under 15 yrs old, are interested in entering, they can make books at home and we'll include them in the entry shipment. Deadline: April 15 at TAP. More info can be found here:

fyi, there is a contingency of students/adults planning to travel to the
festival and the more the merrier!

Congratulations to all the students! ... some wonderful pieces were created and TAP would encourage you to submit these to festivals over the next year. We have found that juries are quite diverse around the world and some movies that don't make it into one festival are highly rated at others. If you would like more info about festivals, contact Chris or Ken. In fact, if you would like to be the official 'TAP festival entry organizer' ... we'll assist!

and ...

We just received word that TAP entries were received and are being considered
at a festival in Czech Republic!

all our best,

Ken and Chris
